This blog is a celebration of Dublin’s quiet places; the places I visit when I want to catch my breath or hear myself think. These places are sometimes lonely, often beautiful. They are worth getting to know.

This blog is not a travelogue, although it contains some information about the places visited. It is a personal response to the quiet of the city, expressed in words and images. Enjoy!

Aileen, This is absolutely wonderful. You write so beautifully and it’s such an original idea. I look forward to more. And I benefit too….this is my first time to reply to a blog!

  2. Just getting started blogging? Welcome, (very) to the club. If your super South Bull Bull wall/Poolbeg Lighthouse post is anything to go by, this is the start of a glorious career! From a personal point of view, it is especially nice to see another Dubliner, loving and writing about the city.
